Social-Ecological Diathesis-Stress Model of Bullying

Examining personal vulnerability factors mediating the effect of bullying on adolescent psychopathology.

This project explored the determinants and consequences of traditional and cyberbullying through the lens of a social-ecological diathesis-stress framework. It examined how personal vulnerability factors — cognitive, emotional, and biological — mediate the effects of bullying on adolescents’ psychopathology when accounting for ecological factors such as family, peers, and school environment.

The research proposal ranked first in the Department of Psychology and among the top ten university-wide submissions at the University of Cyprus.
